I am Grateful For

This week we learned of tragedies impacting 3 families we are connected to. The final was the drowning of my son’s college buddy a few days ago.

I am practicing gratitude and acceptance big time.

I am grateful for: 3 healthy children and my incredible husband; our capacity to support each other and the strength it gives us to be there for others. I am grateful for family and friends beyond compare.

I can accept that we are currently in 5 different time zones. It is temporary!

Whoa. So sorry! Just read about the drowning of a young man from here who was helping to save his buddy in the waters off Rhode Island. The friend lived, he did not. So sad.

Share the same gratitude as you, Robyrm- friends, family, financial stability. When younger s finishes college, gets a job and is off the payroll, we’ll be eternalaly grateful!

I am grateful for having a wonderful, supportive, and patient husband who is also my partner in business as well as life. Without him doing what he does, I would be unable to do what I do.

I am grateful for having a business that enables me to be close to home and is flexible in time to have allowed me to take the time off that I needed over the past year to attend to my children, parents, and grandparents.

I am grateful for every moment I’ve spent with my daughter this summer.

I am grateful to have an easy going, funny son who is patient with us all. His humour keeps me going.

I am grateful to have had a wonderful grandmother who I could always count on. She passed away a few years ago and I miss her terribly.

I am grateful for my health and the relative health of my family.

I am grateful for my cats, they always know when I need them.

I am grateful for the hope that I have in my life.

OP sorry for your losses. Gratitude is a good thing to think on.

I have too many blessings to count so I’ll go just a little silly, but sometimes the small silly things turn out to be … valuable.

I am grateful for finding CC and the community it engenders.

I am grateful for my H’s retirement (as he is getting on my last nerve sitting around)

I am grateful my DS found a college that FITS PERFECTLY (as he is getting on my last nerve sitting around)

I am grateful my DD found a summer paid internship, a fall unpaid internship, and is going to a concert with me the day before she leaves.

Robyrm- We do take so much for granted don’t we? When we see how truly fragile life is, it makes us grateful for just being alive and having loved ones around us (even if they are getting on our last nerve).

I am grateful that at this moment all of the people I love are safely in their respective homes.

I am grateful that when one of my family members does need medical care, we have excellent facilities and have the insurance and the personal funds to pay for care.

I am grateful to have a small group of women who laugh (and occasionally snort or pee as they do so) and cry with me.

A wonderful idea for a thread, OP! But I am so sorry it was engendered by a tragedy.

I am grateful for all the incredible LUCK and GOOD FORTUNE that has come my way in so many aspects of my life.

I am grateful for a few really patient people in my life.

I am grateful for health, safety, comfort, joys, and love where they exist in my own life and in that of my immediate family.

I am grateful for intelligence and technology and conveniences and information that can help me and so many others.

I try to remember to think of these blessings each day, especially when things are very tough.

Happy Sunday, all!

Most immediately: I am grateful that d3 has arrived safely at school, following her first solo 560-mile drive. This is the first time in a decade that I’m not helping someone move into a dorm room. Not a moment too soon, either - the knees aren’t what they used to be.

Otherwise, I’m grateful for my many blessings, most of which have been mentioned above. I don’t deserve them more than those who haven’t been similarly blessed. I didn’t make them happen. So I appreciate what I’ve been blessed with, and I’m thankful.
