As a muslim I am an advocate for LGBTQI rights and the label that muslims are homophobic is very very inappropriate. I was heartbroken when this monster killed those people. But, dont make my religion a scapegoat he acted alone he was not a representative of my religion.
@itshalimathenerd I applaud you for making your position clear. I didn’t get the impression that anyone on this forum implied that the person who carried out the attack in Orland represented Islam. Shouting Allahu Akbar while carrying out such acts definitely doesn’t make such people representatives of Islam. When we stay silent while our religious leaders (mullahs, padres, gurus, monks …) portray homosexuality as a sin, we are letting them represent our religion.
Anyone who condemns a human for being who they are is a horrible person.
