<p>Stanford, while difficult, is not MIT or Chicago or Swarthmore.</p>
<p>yeah, stanford is known for being relatively laid back compared to the rest of the elite schools.</p>
<p>You can definitely get by if you procrastinate a lot and have a tendency to laziness, but you do have to WANT to learn and want to work (eventually), otherwise it will be sort of hellish…</p>
<p>Haha. I must be the dumbest person answering this question, because I had to work really hard. I am also pre-med, which makes life worse - chemistry and biology classes are full of extremely smart people.</p>
<p>You don’t necessarily have to read every assigned chapter of a textbook exactly by the due date or crazy things like that, but I would say it’s tough. Depends on the professor, subject, and test/essay format.</p>
