I am very confused about PSAT and NMS

I am a high school senior in Tennessee, and I took the PSAT as a freshman, sophomore and as a junior. I could list my first two scores, but I don’t think those matter in the bigger picture. My results for my junior year(which I took fall 2015) were:
Overall- 1400 (out of 1520) (99th percentile)
Mathematics- 730 (out of 760) (99th or 98th percentile, there’s two on the CollegeBoard)
Reading and Writing- 670 (out of 760) (98th or 97th percentile)

There are also “cross test scores” (?) for science and history:
Science- 36 (out of 38) (99th percentile)
History- 32 (out of 38) (94th or 93rd percentile)

With these scores, I had expected to hear something by now. But I haven’t, one way or the other. I tried to look up a timeline of when I should have heard from them, and I found people saying they were contacted in April, May, July, and September. Does anyone know the actual timeline for this? Should I even expect to hear anything? Is there something wrong with what I’ve done, maybe by taking it three years? If not, who should I contact about this and how? I didn’t think it was a big deal in April, but now that I see how much potential money this could get me for college, I’d really like to make sure everything is ok and I haven’t missed this opportunity. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

What state are you in? What is you Selection Index (SI) - it is on your score report. Commended score is a Selection Index of 209.

@CA1543 he said he’s in TN

I checked, and it says "Your NMSC Selection Index

NMSC uses a Selection Index based on PSAT/NMSQT scores as an initial screen of students who enter its scholarship programs. To calculate your Selection Index, double the sum of your Reading, Writing and Language, and Math Test scores." It says this number is 207, but I have no idea what that means or implies at all.

I ran out of time to edit my original post, but I found the individual scores.

Reading- 34 (out of 38) (96th or 95th percentile)
Writing & Language- 33 (out of 38) (98th or 95th percentile)
Math- 36.5 (out of 38) (99th or 98th percentile)

There are also more subscores, but unless those are relevant I won’t post them because there are several of them.

If you got a 207 this means you did not make National Merit. The lowest score in any state would be 209.

What’s the target score for Texas this year?

Oh. That is disappointing. Someone had told me the qualifications were based off of percentages, where the top 10%-5% qualified. I guess I was misinformed.

@WorryHurry411 the cutoff for the Texas class of 2017 was 220. I have asked my Texas DS18 to please try for a perfect score or at least a 224 so I won’t spend months and months worrying about the cut off! He said he’d try! #:-S

@Stressedrn It’s usually the scores in the 99th percentile who make NM. Taking the PSAT in 9/10/11 grade is typical, and it has no effect on your NM chances. At this point, worry about your college essays, and take the ACT in October 1 more time as that will be more likely to help you get great scholarships than worrying any more about the NM.
