Option 1: Pre-Calc 2 (Not honor or AP)
Option 2: AP Calc AB

Note: It’s either/or. If I chose option 1, option 2 stays a B. And vice versa. Also, they affect my GPA the same amount, I have already calculated. I am also going to be a senior when school starts, so keep that in mind.

So is it better to get an A in an AP class, and a B in normal class, or a A in normal class and a B in AP class.

An A in AP! It’s a harder class and if you have an A that shows that somehow you knew what you were doing. Although the regular class is easier, it’s always better to show that you improved (from a B in pre-calc to an A in AP Calc AB). They don’t know your circumstances- there could be any number of reasons why you got a B in that class. Side question: why are you able to change your grade?!

Let me elaborate a bit. My schools is on a Trimester system.

Junior year math classes:
Tri 1: AP Calc AB- B (Only B this Tri, All ap classes this tri)
Tri 2: AP Calc AB- B (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR GRADE CHANGE)
Tri 3: Pre Calc 2- B (Only B this Tri, No AP classes this tri.)

So i didn’t actually improve, as Pre Calc is tri 3.

And my teacher offered a 3% grade boost if you got above a 4 on the AP exam. I did, and I was borderline those 2 tris so I can change my grade!
