<p>These women are coming of the woodwork. I am just in shock. I like many others, thought oh its he said, she said, when these allegations surfaced many years before. Sadly, I was duped. Everyday, there seems to be a new allegation. I have attached a couple of articles but there are so many more.</p>
<p>I do, there are too many women, and they all have the same story. The statute of limitations has run out, they have nothing to gain. He settled out of court with one woman, because apparently there were 10 women willing to testify, and he did not want any of that to become public. </p>
<p>Too many of them not to believe. What would they gain? When I was 15 a well respected physician friend of my Dad’s made the moves on me…I was his kids babysitter for crying out loud and my wife and his wife friends. He tried it when my Mom and his wife were in the house! Nothing happened, I was mortified and pushed him away. I didn’t tell my Mom for 3 years (young girls tend to not know what to do for some reason…I can testify to that) and even she wondered if I was sure that’s what happened…did I misinterpret something? After I told her, she cut all ties with the wife and just gave him filthy looks (not brave enough to approach him I guess, I would have been at his throat). She never told my Dad. They moved within the year to Texas after he must have been aware my Mom now knew. We’ve never seen them again…I doubt anyone would have ever guessed. Just because Bill Cosby is a well known talented actor and comedian doesn’t mean he isn’t a closet creep. After experiencing what I did, I tend to believe accusations like this, expecially when there is no reason to come forward and so many of them start coming out of the woodwork.</p>
<p>Really? I can. Cosby’s had a reputation for being difficult in places like Vegas for years - his “wholesome” image protected him, as did the color of his skin IMHO. People were reluctant to call out an AA performer of his caliber, lest they get blamed for being racist. Also, he has the means to protect himself legally, as did OJ Simpson.</p>
<p>Or you get creamed when you come out. Look at Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. Bill Clinton is as powerful as ever and Monica Lewinsky can’t get a job.</p>
<p>I heard these stories years ago. And I completely agree with Iglooo…how is it these disgusting pervy men do these awful things and it’s the women who suffer the consequences? I have always felt for Monica. I know at 22 you can not always understand the lasting consequences. </p>
<p>And what about the 7th Heaven guy? Stephen Collins? The NYPD is investigating him in depth. I know I tend to confuse the TV personalities with the real people, and it makes it hard to believe something like this could happen.</p>

<p>That’s great! I need to trash somebody, make some bucks if possible. Just get the ball rolling!</p>
<p>Clinton would have been impeached if it really meant anything to our society. Can’t believe we are upset over an entertainer rather than a president. Just sayin.
If it comes to anything let it play out in the courts where the decisions should be made.</p>
<p>On the one hand, Cosby is innocent until proven guilty. On the other hand, there are an awful lot of women with the same damn story. And often – not always – where there’s smoke, there’s fire.</p>
<p>I believe the stories. We had a track coach in High school that molested some of the girls on our team. They were afraid to say anything. 20 years later when a couple of them had girls that were going into high school they spoke up. There was no way they were going to let the same thing happen to their daughters. He ended being fired. Most of the parents including my own were shocked. I knew what was going on back then and stayed away from him. I don’t think any of us thought that the adults would have believed them back then.</p>
<p>There’s a difference between an older, powerful man having a consensual affair with a young woman barely out of her teens, and a man drugging women to use as sex toys. The first person is a sleazeball, but the second person is a rapist. It’s not illegal to be a sleazeball, but it IS illegal to be a rapist. And it’s a lot worse to be a rapist than a sleazeball, too.</p>
<p>I have no idea if he’s guilty or not but I’ve never found him appealing or funny. If true, I’m not particularly surprised. He’s no Mr. Rogers. Please, no one burst my bubble on him.</p>
<p>I am so depressed about the Bill Cosby thing that I can’t stand to read about it.I read the Washington Post piece by the woman who was a young actress when he assaulted her. That was enough. So disillusioning.</p>
<p>How many Cosby accusers are there now? How many are named?</p>
<p>It reminds me of the accusations against Jian Ghomeshi in Canada-- a powerful important man, allegedly assaulting young women, where each one never felt safe accusing him because she thought, with good reason, that he’d destroy him. Only when many different accusers come forward are they believed.</p>
