Every time I put in the info it says it can’t be requested although the info is correct, when I call the machine tells me it can’t give me info about my transcript…what am I suppose to do?
There must be a way to actually talk to a human about your problem, though you may have to wait a long time on the phone earlier.
See http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
As a last resort, request it at your local IRS office, they may print it out for you.
I had the same issue. Someone had used my wife’s SSN fraudulently. I budgeted two hours to talk to somebody. I was on hold only one hour, took 15 minutes to talk through the issue, and I received the transcript by mail in about a week.
My son, who did not have a fraud alert walked to the IRS office, and they printed one as he waited.
You can either get it at the IRS office or order it by mail. I ordered one on a friday and it came the next Thursday.
On the page where it says that transcripts are not available online anymore, it gives a phone number. I ordered it and it was very easy. I didn’t speak to anyone, just punched in the request on an automated phone request system.
