I can't tell if my schedule for Junior Year is too hard or too easy?

AP Physics
AP Psych/ Interpersonal Studies (Not AP)
Dual Credit English 3 (A College Class)
Regulars U.S. History
Regulars Algebra 2
French 2 PreAP
Speech & Debate

I don’t struggle in sciences, I’m OK at studying (although I am improving), but is this going to be too much for a junior?
What other AP/Dual Credit classes do you recommend? (I hope to go out of state for university for Forensic Science & Chemistry or maybe Astrophysics, and I know that the dual credit won’t transfer, I’m doing dual credit english because 1) I don’t think I can handle AP english and 2) I don’t want to do regulars english because it wouldn’t challenge me at all)

Any tips or comments whatsoever are helpful, thanks!

Not too difficult. I’d recommend dual credit US history as well

But is it difficult enough?

^ It depends what type of college you are looking to attend. For a top college, AP US history and Algebra II Honors would be more appropriate.

Algebra II during Junior Year? When do you take Calc?

I take it in Freshman year, it is super easy, although yours may be harder (?)

Also: Which debate class do you take?

I dont take AP Physics so I could be wrong, but I feel like the math in AP Physics would be tough if youre going to take algebra 2 at the same time

Would your GC consider this in the category of the most difficult academic schedule for a junior at your school? Liek a 5 on the 5 point scale, where 3 is average, 4 is honors, and some more difficult classes.

I won’t be taking calc, in fact I don’t think it’s offered for me, I’ll be taking pre-cal senior year.
I take speech & debate, I participate in LD debate at tournaments.

This is a “more advanced” schedule, and very few people sign up for all honors & such but I’m trying to even out my hard classes with my easier classes, plus I’m not going to be majoring in history or anything so is it really of value of me to take honors?

being honest, is not too hard and not too easy, id say its right in the middle

AP Physics is tough if you don’t already have the Alg II background and some trig as well, but if you’re good at picking up on those math concepts you can catch up.
I would say that you’re right in the middle. You did end up evening out your schedule but it’s not a highly competitive one (in my opinion). An Ivy would want to see that you’re taking the hardest courses possible. If you’re applying to a state school, you have a decent chance.
It’s good that you’re dual-enrolled though.

Elaborate on the “decent” chance.

40-70% chance is what I define as decent. Others might call it differently.

Decent as in you have a relatively good chance that a state school will take you. It still depends on the school though. Say you’re a CA resident applying to UCI with these stats, there’s a great chance you’ll make it in, but if you applied to UCLA there’s a somewhat less likely chance because their standards are higher than UCI’s.
Also remember that you have a whole other year to take on a higher workload.

What percentage students from your high school attend 4-year colleges?
How many Ap classes are offered, and which ones?
If you’re aiming for schools in the Top 25, it’s too easy.
This schedule is good if you’re aiming at your state’s flagship or many Top 100 LACs.

For history, such a schedule, assuming grades in the B+ to A range, would be competitive at Allegheny, Ohio Wesleyan, Beloit, Wheaton (MA), Goucher, Hiram, Hendrix, Agnes Scott, College of Charleston, Ursinus, Muhlenberg, Willamette.
Mount Holyoke, Dickinson, Gettysburg or Kenyon would be big reaches (even assuming you’re getting straight A’s).

Algebra2 as a junior with precalculus as a senior is fine.

I assume you’ll be taking AP Physics 1. But if you intend to major in History, you’d need as many AP social science as are offered at your school (ie., AP Us history + AP Euro or World + Gov or Econ).

AP Physics
AP Psych/ Interpersonal Studies (Not AP) => AP Gov or Econ would be better
Dual Credit English 3 (A College Class)
Regulars U.S. History => AP or dual enrollment needed
Regulars Algebra 2
French 2 PreAP
Speech & Debate

Then Senior year, consider
Dual History (both semesters)
Dual English (1 semester)/ another college class
AP Psych/Interpersonal Studies
APES
Precalculus
French 3 Pre AP
Speech and Debate
