That’s really cool! I got all of the college mail that I received and made a collage on my wall. Wish I still had a picture of it. I may not go to the University of Chicago, but I do have 23 pieces of mail from them xD
I wasn’t aware that colleges were even still sending out mailers! I got a ton of stuff in 2003-2004 when I was a high school senior, but I just assumed now that everyone was sending links and electronic brochures and stuff. I guess the allure of the glossy brochure hasn’t worn off.
I still remember the first university that sent me one (Bradley University) and my favorite (Columbia’s - particularly the profile of Carman Hall, where I was convinced I wanted to live, and a line about how freshman would sit around in the hallways and talk about Literature Humanities. That part’s actually kind of true, I think.)
