i cut off my arm, will i get sympathy?

no i really didn’t, but which is harder to get into engineering or the college?

god damn it… my ploy failed

miserably…yes it did

WILL SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTION PLZ!!! sorry not yelling… engineering or college which is harder to get into

okay fine i will ATTEMPT at answering ur petty lil question that is getting overly annoying:
if ur talkin bout BME, then i think so yes, but thats just my opinion. im probably wrong, but who cares since thats all this forum is about: opinions, so essentially what i just said is complete BS and u can also make up the same thing. also anyone else who answers ur question will be opinion based, wont do u any good. is ur question solved? i sure hope so.

i don’t understand why it matters. would you really apply to a different school just to improve your chances by 0.05%? i mean… you can’t really transfer into BME, and for everything else your chances are about the same (unless you apply for say, poli sci major and you’ve done nothing but math ECs… that might look slightly strange)

if you cut off your arm, you’ll just get a lot of laughs. buahahahaha. jk

nooo that’s not what i mean, if the engineering is significantly harder to get into… like at cornell, what’s the point in applying if i plan on majoring in chemistry?

i could get a chem degree as a ba, or at the engineering school, so i just want to know, which has the overall “stronger applicant pool” i.e. which is harder to get into
… i’m not looking at bme*

why don’t you just look at the acceptance percentages if you’re really interested?

I personally am applying to a very competitive department because I am passionate about a subject and I’m not going to stop because of competition. Erm… don’t mean to be arrogant … just wanted to get my point across.

because the percentages can be very misleading… i.e. cornell engineering 38% acceptance, but is thier best department…

la la la, seriously ,i think its harder to get into bme, based on common sense. i mean if some can get into the school but not the major, wouldnt that make the major more competitive than the school itself?

thank you, but is bme the only engineering they have???

joe i have a suggestion for you. have u tried checking out their websites, calling the undergrad office, emailing the undergrad peoples to ask these questions? well since im such a great member of this forum, i’ll do u a favor and check this out myself.
ahem, departments of the engineering school:
applied mathematics and statistics
biomedical engineering
chemical and biomolecular engineering
civil engineering
computer science
electrical and computer engineering
geography and environmental engineering
materals science and engineering
mechanical engineering

so no, bme is not their only engineering school

I dont think jhu really differentiates between the school of a and s and the school of e… the only thing that has seperate admission percentages other than JHU itself is bme

ohh, that’s what i was wondering about, because i heard bme is vicious when it comes to admissions, and if i wanted to do chemical engineering, i don’t want to be compared to the field that includes the bme students… thanks

“vicious”

haha, i didnt end up fighting anyone.

but u were probably the crafty applicant, hiding in the shadows until the wannabe’s tired themselves out… then u strode out triumphantly over the bodies of ur fallen peers… haha i amuse myself
