I did terrible in the first semester ... should I continue?

I have :

General Chemistry I
General Chemistry I lab
Composition I
Pre-Calculus
Intro to philosophy
Music in the United States

total 17 credits and I got 3.0 GPA

this semester I chose
General Chemistry II
Composition II
Calculus I
Classical Mythology
Intro to Anthropology

also 17 credits… although this schedule doesnt have a lab but the class seem much harder… should I take out either Classical Mythology or Intro to Anthropology to bring up GPA (maybe) or should I keep my schedule ?

How did you do in each of those?

If you think either of those classes is too hard, then take one out and choose an easier one.

If you get straight As from now on, you’ll have a chance; fortunately, it was only your first semester. Don’t give up!

B + for chem I
A for chem lab
and a C+ for pre cal… just bc we have a strict professor

A for Chem Lab
B+ for Chem I :D

All is not lost. Maybe you just had, like you said, a tough professor in Pre-Calc and Calc will be easier. Like BurntFlower said, it’s your first semester. You just need to make sure you don’t fall again :)
