will these score be my drawback? I will use scorechoice on Harvard, MIT and Princeton but Yale and other Ivies, don’t let me use scorechoice. so…CHANCE ME!! and be cynical so I can have tips to imrove!

Wow, this is the kind of stuff people put up on UrbanDictionary under CollegeConfidential. Of course you have a chance, just apply and see what happens, stop being silly. “I do have anychance?” Come on.

firstly, im a bit confused as to why u have 7 sat IIs when u can three in one sitting, meaning u took three two times then only one? but i suppose there is a reason

secondly, what would be your downside? that out of 11 sat IIs you aced 8 and did decent on 2 others? as those colleges only look at three at most, i think you are set

finally, these posts make me depressed. really, my scores and aps and gpa are decent, but im not superman. if you are truly concerned, then dont worry as i have a feeling you will be considered. if you are just trying to verify ur current opinion that u stand a shot then i officially verify it. If you truly want to feel better, ill post you my scores and show which colleges im applying to (same as yours basically) and show u not only have nearly 150 higher points than i do on sat, but your general kick butt sat IIs and various ecs are better than mine.

Don’t let these types of threads get you down, I know a lot of people who have gotten into top colleges and didn’t have the top scores. They got in because they were real, 3-D, interesting human beings, not cardboard cutouts of what people think an Ivy-Leaguer should look like.

Portray the real side of you and you have as good a shot as any. Just know that applying to Yale is never a guarantee or even a “good shot” for ANYONE who applies.

And these chances threads are just weak. No one on here can tell you if “anychance have you” since not even an adcom could look at merely the things you’ve presented and tell you whether or not you’d get in…and it’s their freaking JOB to let people in.

Sorry to come off rude, but these chances threads just really get on my nerves.

Just do the best you can and shoot for your dream if it’s Yale. If you don’t get in there are 3,799 other schools in the country that are also amazing and you will do fine at.

Sheesh.

I wish I had an anychance.

SORRY. I had to.

You’re a legit applicant, just focus on bringing perfect essays and recs to the table!

Rocker, dude, I thought you’d back me up with our mutual hatred of chances thread. So disappointed in you :P

Statistically, you are in a good range. The one thing that makes me chuckle though is that adcoms sometimes reference that they don’t want applicants who “spent their weekends repeatedly taking SATs.” You sure took a lot of SAT II’s… how many times did you take SAT?

That said, I don’t think retaking will be your downfall; getting in or getting rejected will come down to other factors like essays, recs, etc.

Thanks for all the comments! I am sort if I made some of you feel bad but he reason I do this is to increase my chances getting into good collges. I was worried because I havebeen working all these years for better education and it would be sad if my works and sacrifices don’t pay off. Can I become a better applicnt in any ways? I am open for more specific suggestions. Thank you!!
