I do really well in school but...

So right now, I take nothing but Honors and AP classes and have received nothing but A’s and B’s in them. So I estimated that I would score around a 1900, 2100 max. But, when I took a practice test, my score was a staggering 1500.

Is there any way I can get this up by January?

I’m not the one to ask, but there are a lot of forums on here about SAT materials. Please don’t think you are an academic failure because of this, standardized tests are not everything. I’m sure you can pull that score up. I heard a saying about the SAT once, that the SAT only tests how well you can take the SAT. Nothing more, nothing less. Best of luck.

1) Writing is the easiest to fix. Fill all the pages. Concentrate on grammar vs.knowledge of subject matter. Learn the boiler plate way to do the essay.
2)Math would be the next easiest to fix. a)Know your formulas b)learn how to quickly eliminate the wrong answers c)Don’t waste time on what you don’t know.
3)Reading/Grammar is the most difficult to fix. Spend time on 1&2 above. Time permitting do as many practice, questions as you can.
GL Remember, anything can happen on a multiple choice test. Take the test with a positive frame of mind. GL

Don’t worry, when I first took the test I got around 1500 too. And then I raised it to 2050 by taking real collegeboard SAT tests. Taking practice exams will definitely help you. You just have to take enough tests to find patterns and your own tactic.
