I only took the SATs once because I really have a hard time sitting for tests. I was actually just diagnosed with ADD and that really does explain a lot! Would it be worth it to retake the test? Could I let the schools know of my diagnosis?

I would most definitely let the schools know about your condition if I were you. Also, some schools explicitly state that you should not retake the SATs; I believe NYU is one of those schools with such stipulations.

Also, just out of curiosity, why don’t you deem Emory as a reach?

I would definitely retake the SATs. I also have ADD and was not taking medication for it in high school. I took the SATs once in high school and got a very mediocre marking. Then, freshman year of college, I was taking medication for my ADD. I took the SATs again and got over 200 points higher that time around. So yes, definitely retake them.

cpSCHICK, that’s AMAZING!!! Shoot, I guess I will retake them. When you were on your medication, was the test actually bearable?

LilyMoon, Stony Brook is my safety. I’m a NY resident-- TONS of kids from my school transfer over there. We have joint admission programs with them and everything…but even without the programs, it’s not too difficult to get in (if you’re not doing nursing or any science, which I’m not hehe).

I’m also going to add U Miami to my list. :X I really don’t fear for my GPA as my courseload is rather easy…
How is Miami (FL) with their transfer admissions?
