i dont know what to do about my BF

so ive been seeing him since last year, and we have been official for like a month. he asked me to homecoming in the cutest way and its next week. i broke up with him yesterday.....and i freakin dont even know why. its cuz hes a jock and hes all popular and stuff...and every time im with him i feel so inferior and his friends look at me weird. but like hes the nicest guy i have ever met in my whole like and i still like him a lot. its just that it seems like i cant be with him cuz its jsut awkward and i cant see us together anymore. i told me we shouldnt go to HC together nemore. he told my friend he still likes me tho. i dont know what to do

i dont know if i should say i regret it
cuz then ill feel even more uncomfortable
and his friends will hate me more

but i cant stand it..i really like him

Wow...thats some stupid drama right there. If he likes you and you like him, why would you break up? That's all that there is to it.

um yea, you could have my bf problem: nobody likes me enough to want to go out with me

That sounds like a silly insecurity issue. If you like each other, why care so much about what everyone else thinks? Seems like you're too worried about people saying "oh what is she doing with him?" I don't know if you can work it out, but it looks like you're giving up too easily.

celebrian25, aww I'm sure that's not true!

I don't quite understand your reasons for breaking up, but you could have waited until after HC to break up. Even if he still likes you, the whole situation is now extremely awkward (especially if you still go with him to the dance). I think you just need some time to yourself to think things over and make some decisions and stick with them. I wish for all the best for you :)

I think you broke up with him right before the dance because you're not comfortable being seen in public with him...

we should have a thread where every CCer posts their picture

^ i second that.....if they would only turn [img] tags on!!

Don't worry about what his friends think. And if you're that worried, then talk to him about how you think his friends don't like you.

Geez. At least someone likes you.

You shouldn't care about what his friends think. If it really bothers you that much, just spend more time with just him, and let him know that you don't like hanging out with his friends a lot.

Get back together with him! It makes perfect sense! It doesn't sound like this is a huge problem anyway

i understand your problem. the key is this: work on getting his "popular jock friends" to like you. maybe hang out with them on guy night, watch games, etc. don't be too girly or prissy--ya know, yell at the tv, burp, whatever they will think is cool. if they accept you then you're golden. and btw, you are lucky that you both like eachother, that can be a rarity for some people!

Ok so this is what you do. Call him up immediately and explain it to him and then be like sorry I don't know what came over me. And then be like I'll see ya at homecoming.

i think you should pimp it out with another boy and make him jelous. um...yea...how about sending your pics my way.

really, on a more serious note, i think you should get back with him and just ignore him friends. why should you care about what they say? he likes you for who you are and i dont feel its necessary for you to change to please him friends. also, a girlfriend definately has more power over guy friends.

hey im, no dating machine myself so just go and do what your dreams tells you to do.

hope for the best

wow. I had this same issue. I completely regret breaking up with my ex-bf because of social pressures. At least we're really good friends now.

k we made up

That's all you have for us? That's 9 letters!

Well, good for you; good work.
