Hello. I’m a freshman, and I have no idea what I want to major in and do with my life. My high school never had any career fairs, and I’ve already changed my major from business (the math was way too hard and it just wasn’t for me),to political science ,but I just don’t know. Can anyone give me any advice on how to go about finding the right major for one’s self? It would be greatly appreciated. I just don’t know what I like or what I’m interested in.
Your college has a career services department right? Why don’t you go talk to them? Or maybe a counselor/advisor. It’s their job to be able to help with stuff like this.
When do you have to declare your major at your school?
My sophomore year.
Seeing the career center is a good start. They can give you tests to see what interest you. They also will have suggestions for internships, where you can work and shadow others in professions that interest you.
