I don't know

So. I’ve signed up for the November Math Level 2 subject test, but I opened one of the prep books and I really don’t know a lot of the stuff. I mean I guess I know half the stuff on the Level 2 but most on the level 1. So, should I change to level 1 or should I stick to level 2? Since Yale is Yale would it prefer level 2? I read somewhere that they say even if you’re semi-decent in Math, you should opt for the level 2… What do you guys say? What are you guys doing?

If you plan to do a math/science major it is always recommended that you take math2. Although Math2, unlile Math1, tests tougher topics(functions, matrix, complex no’s and all that) it has a pretty lenient curve. Many of my friends gave both of them and most of them scored better on level2. Also there are still some 20 odd days for the test to happen, so you have enough time to prepare.
I prepared for only 10 days for math 2 and got a perfect score. It’s not that difficult. If you are regular with your school work you would be fine.

Alright. In that case, I think I’m going to stick to the Math 2, and just prepare for it as best as I can and hope for the best. Thanks, bud.

the threshold for a maximum score is quite lenient for math ii; iirc you can still get 800 after getting something like 8 question wrong

basically, do well in your school’s pre-calc class. then, review a bit to make sure you’ve got it all down. i know i missed at least five and i still got an 800.
