I feel as if I am in the wrong place. I miss my family and just wish that I could just go home and be with them during the week and then go out with my friends here during the weekend. I am currently a sophomore and this is my second semester. I commuted to school my first semester of freshman year and then transferred to a school 2 hours away. I have made friends here and recently joined a club this week but I still cant seem to want to be here. I know i want to transfer but I am also nervous I would be making a mistake doing so because if I transfer I would have to commute. I have found ways that I could be involved on the college I could transfer too but im just afraid I may be selling myself short but I honestly dont know if i can do it here anymore. My friends here at school and from home are supportive of my decision but i just dont know if I am moving too quickly. Ive been at this school a total of 6 months and still feel the same way.
Sounds like you need to take a piece of paper, make a vertical line down the middle and write down the Pros of making this decision in one column and the Cons in the other. Once you start this list, leave it on your desk for a few days, adding to either column as other pros and cons come to you. Then see where you are decision wise. The right answer can only come from you. And, if you prefer commuting to college, there is nothing wrong with that. It will not ruin your life, it is just one of the many choices along the way.
