I barely hit 1800
I got a 24 composite on my acts
my gpa hit 2.9 in junior year and it’s still there because i don’t know how to get over my depression.
I got a D in junior year in math and am making it up right now.
and i have to make up another term for english which I got a D in my senior year.

my parents don’t help me because they can’t (they’re immigrants and don’t understand this system) and my brother’s on the other side of the country.

i’ve been trying to pull through on my own, but ass is just getting owned.

i just want to go to Pepperdine.

laugh at my stats and leave words of comfort. i’m not ready to face reality yet.

You’re SAT score is actually pretty good. It’s above average. So don’t beat yourself up about it! Do you have the option to to retake classes or take online classes or do something to makeup those grades and regain credits? And what are your safety schools?

Go to a psychiatrist to relieve your depression, go to a CC, transfer to Pepperdine or a top state school.

or

Go to a 4-year college right away. Many colleges are a match for you, including CSUs which have similar social/regional environments as Pepperdine.

Is Pepperdine your only choice? There are other really great schools where you also could get in if you don’t want to start off at a CC. My DD did not do well at all on her ACT’s but GPA was good enough that she got into every school she applied to. She obviously wasn’t interested in Ivy League but she is doing awesome at her university, has a 3.8 as a sophomore.

There’s a college somewhere for you. If you live in Ca, you have a lot of choices for in state. The Cal State colleges might be right for you. GL and go to college.

I don’t think the immediate concern is college, much less a specific one. You need to deal with the depression that can hamper you in anything you want and have to do. It’s an illness and can take over like a wildfire. Please talk to your parent’s about gettting a doctor’s visit and let the doctor know about your depression. Also talk to your school counselor about this.

GPA will definitly drag you down. Don’t say that you won’t go to college! you’re credentials aren’t that bad. I would definatly get that SAT or ACT score up. take some classes to get them up! :)
