<p>I’m looking of maybe applying to UChicago EA next year please tell me if my stats are up to par with the general accepted student</p>

<p>Gender:Male
State:Pa
SAT: 800M 740CR 780W
SATii: 800{Math ii, Physics, bio M }
GPA: 3.8 ish (a little low :confused: )
Class Rank: not too hot but top decile</p>

<p>AP’s:
Bio
Physics B&C (C self study)
Language and comp
Stats (slight self study)
Macro& Microeconomics (self study)</p>

<p>I took Calc 1 and Calc 2 at a college during sophomore year
Also taking Number Theory (grad course) next semester</p>

<p>I have alot of EC’s:
Chess Team (Varsity 3 years)
Scholastic Scrimmage (Varsity 3 years,captain senior year)
Science Olympiad( few state and regional medals)
Chamber Orchestra
Community Orchestra
FBLA(regional and state awards)
Model Congress
Mock Trial
NHS</p>

<p>I want to form Mu Theta Alpha at my school</p>

<p>Awards: a few math awards, want to try to have physics research published</p>

<p>Am I anything UChicago would be looking for?</p>

<p>Giving a range of 10%-100% is about as unhelpful as a chance. I’d say 80% based on SAT assuming your essays are decent-good.</p>

<p>OP, i do not want to be rude, but there is ABSOLUTELY no way anyone here can accurately give you a probabilty. its really hard to say for a few reasons:

  1. we do not know you in context
  2. we have not read your essays
  3. u of c is a top-ranked school that can admit and reject applicants as it feels like</p>

<p>in summation, this whole game is a crap-shoot. work on getting good grades junior year instead of focusing so much on percentages. trust me, ive spent too many hours in cold sweats looking at the website…do your homework! good night and good luck!!!</p>

<p>What a unique interpretation on a timeless thread topic. I would say your “probability” is somewhere around 4/5. Isn’t this easy enough to deduce from looking at the school’s average stats? (after all that is about all you have provided).</p>

<p>Take a look at the EA results thread. That’s what it’s here for. That’s why I posted my embarrassing deferral when it looks like a lot of people who pledged and didn’t get good news didn’t post.</p>

<p>3.8 is fine if you have challenged yourself in the context of your school man…I had a 3.84 this year and got in, but with the hardest possible classes…</p>
