I don't want a "normal" life...but don't know what exactly I want

I don’t think OP is arrogant or thick or out to join some noble cause. Some of you are tough. And trying to put him right back into the same box he’s trying to climb out of.

And immature at 22? Lol. The new adapt period is called “emerging adulthood” and can last to 30 or so. Tough but true. My generstion changed things for yours.

Interesting. On one hand, you sound like an intelligent, independent sort, not falling for the same old/same old life traps. On the other hand, signs of anxiety (indecision, perfectionism and overthinking, and believe it or not, giving up, retreating.) Or that and the way thinking it out gives you bursts of understanding may be an adult version of ADD.

I suspect understanding and working on the anxiety will do you a world of good. At least, get you off your own back. Think about it.

@MrElculver2424 I don’t think there is anything wrong or that unusual in what you want. You want a life that is different from the traditional 9-5 office job (By the way, that job hardly even exists anymore). You’re current priorities are not starting a family. You want to travel and you like taking on challenges. The problem is, that is too vague. Do you have a college degree? What are your qualifications? What is your work history so far? Do you want to be a leader in science? Activisim? Would you consider the military? Give us a little more and maybe you can get some good suggestions.

MODERATOR’S NOTE: The OP hasn’t been on the site since February 1. I am closing the thread.
