I doubt I will get in.

Public school in OH
30 ACT
1310 SAT
690 Lit, 700 Bio, 710 US His
3.95 GPA on a 4.0 scale (my school doesn’t weight classes)
Toughest course load
Good ECs and Recs

Any shot?

a lot of top schools say once a person passes a certain tier on standardized test scores, they only look at gpa and ecs, because after that tier, the sat or act mark only depends on how well trained you are to take that test.
i’d say your probably borderline (if not above) that standardized test tier. your gpa seems amazing, but you have no identified any ecs. if your ecs shine, that will be what makes your application.

rethink possibly retaking act or sat for another few points.

Your standardized test scores need to be higher. Your GPA is amazing, but schools like Georgetown need their applicants to have high test scores. I think if you improve your ACT to a 31 or improve your SAT to a 1400, you will have a very good chance. If your ec’s are really good I feel you have a decent shot without the high test scores.

If you are attracted to Georgetown, Holy Cross (Boston suburbs) is very similar but easier to get into. Holy Cross was founded by the Georgetown Jesuits in 1843 and in fact during its first couple years HC graduates received Georgetown degrees because Massachusetts was slow to grant a charter because of strong anti-Catholicism. One big difference is Holy Cross is strictly undergraduate so there are no grad students teaching. Small class sizes and lots of access to the professors. Also at Holy Cross SAT scores are optional. Holy Cross is #33 on the US News and World Report Rankings for top liberal arts colleges.

Other great schools beside Holy Cross that are SAT optional include Bowdoin and Bates.

i dont think you will get in, either

I think you ar ea good student, but Gtown has very strange standards to get in. It may be a stretch, but you never know till you try
