Sorry, don’t know if this is the right forum, but anyways, I did really, really bad in high school (screwed up everything: grades, test scores, ECs, friendships, dating, etc. etc.) and I want to be able to start fresh in college? What are some activities that I should do in order to become a good college student? Should I join a fraternity? My goal is to at least graduate summa cum laude and I want to be val if possible when I graduate college? What are some good study habits to complete this goal? Also, I want to go to law school afterward. Any tips on that?

College is a fresh start.
You could join a fraternity because it might help you to make some networking connections.
I don’t want to sound mean, but is it realistic to predict that you’ll be valedictorian in college when your grades were “screwed up” in high school? Sure people change in college, but might be better to just focus on doing well…valedictorian is a big leap lol. Plus, it’s definitely not as big a deal in college…at least not to me. Certain majors are definitely harder than others, and consequently those students have lower GPA’s on average.
Consider joining your college’s pre-law club or fraternity and getting a leadership position in that.

Quit smoking weed and start doing adderall or coke.

Study.

Make study groups and smart friends.

Don’t get TOO involved as to distract from academics. But make sure your involved enough, if not you might become depressed and that’ll hurt your grades too.

just dont do what you did in HS, actually study go to class and do work. it is very possible that you could be summa cum laude / valedictorian at college

Work hard, don’t skip lecture, keep up on the reading, on those nights when you want to say “screw it I’ll just turn in what I have,” suck it up and keep working. Finish papers early, take them to the prof/TA for thoughts. Volunteer, become involved in student government, find a mentor. And nothing against Greek life, but if you want to graduate magna cum laude, you may want to hold off on pledging for a while - at least until you figure out how to handle everything.
