i got a 2170 on the October SAT CR:680 M:720 W:770 (10) Should I retake the old one or wait for new one. I’m a sophomore that want to go to the top schools. Thank You.
Some of the colleges have already announced that they will not accept old SAT scores from the sophomore class. Take the new SAT or the ACT. By the way, that’s a great score for a sophomore.
2170 is not failing. That is a very good score. That said, if you are only a sophomore you should take it again simply because you can. You have plenty of time. I agree that schools may not take the old SAT for current sophomores so this may not count anyway.

97% of kids would kill for this score. pretty obnoxious to call it “failing”
