Hey guys, I’m really worried about my chances. I have a 4.33 gpa, 180 LSAT(studied every night since HS for this!), I’m a current junior and have recommendations from all of my professors. I speak 16 languages and I am the president of 4 organizations. Do I even have a shot at the top tier? I’m quite worried!

You stand a very good chance at the top tier.

Not so sure about Yale, though; no one’s really certainly in at Yale.

Retake. If you can hit 197 you MIGHT have a shot at Georgetown part-time. Frankly, your GPA is pathetic. Unless you majored in quantum mechanics, you’re probably gonna have to write an addendum for that.

I wouldn’t count on Stanford either.

Apply ED to Dook, bro.

Walmart is probably hiring.

With a little luck you could get in to that new law school that they are opening up in Delaware next year.

No you don’t. :)

LonghornDan, you have not studied anywhere near as much as I have, guaranteed, keep hitting the books.

Forget YHS, the students they take are too imperfect. Thomas M. Cooley Law School is more appropriate for such an exceptional student as yourself.

Hmmm… GPA could use some obvious work. The 180 LSAT can get your foot in the door for a spot at the local state school but doesn’t guarantee anything. Unless your professors have served on the supreme court then you might as well throw those recommendations out the window. Being president certainly doesn’t hurt but I hear the t14 value treasury positions much more. In all honesty I would legally change your name and start from scratch at another college if you REALLY want to make the t14.

Everyone is focusing on the mediocre GPA and LSAT, when the real issue is he was President of only 4 clubs.

THAT will keep you out of the T-14 for sure.
