I Found The Gown- anyone watching?

<p>Boston area store named Vows - gowns at high discounts. </p>

<p>Anyone watch? Anyone heard of the store or been there?</p>

<p>Have to admit, I’d be tempted to check it out if one of my daughters was in the market AND if we were in the area! They must have huge demand!</p>

<p>I have two episodes on my TiVo and can’t wait to watch them. I get so tired of SYTTD when they have nothing for the poor bride under $2000, so I imagine that I will like the alternative.</p>

<p>My girls like to watch SYTTD but to me , all the dresses look the same. most of the girls are too heavy for the dresses offered and look like they are stuffed sausages into strapless gowns
What ever happened to sleeves ?
I agree with MizzBee…not all dresses need to be that high price</p>

<p>Well one episode I watched tonight had a bride buying a dress and gown worth $10,000 for a total of $1400- which was apparently an extreme deal! They seem to have many in the $500-$1000 range.</p>

<p>Was incredibly happy with my vintage looking dress - which cost me $250. Granted, that was 23 years ago - but still a great deal for a dress that was perfect for me.</p>

<p>I have both episodes on my DVR and will give them a shot…I’m obsessed with SYTTD (both NYC and Atlanta) as it gives me some great ideas for what I want to wear in the future. What have I learned? I’m 5’1 and my dream dress was poofy and princess-y…this does not compute IRL. I also have learned I hate lace. Did I say I hate lace?</p>

<p>Watched both episodes last night. Really enjoyed it. I’m a real “bargain hunter” so this show was right up my alley. Some of the dresses on SYTTD are sooo expensive. I can’t imagine spending so much for a few hours. It’s prob. a good thing I have sons.</p>

<p>I just did some investigation on the store on Yelp—very mixed reviews. Seems like women either love love love or hate hate hate the place. These are designer samples that come from other bridal salons, so it looks like they can be slightly damaged with loose beading, stains, dingy hems, loose buttons, etc. Personally doesn’t look like a place for me since the reviews say they lack the clips to make the dress ‘fit’ you, but I’ll watch the show</p>

<p>I enjoyed this show a lot more than SYTTD. It seems to spend more time on the dress and less on the (often trashy) “drama” between the bride and her entourage.</p>
