<p>I know lots of folks found the snow and ice days delightful for family bonding and catching up on things that needed to be done around the house.
Not me.
I have been one bored and lonely empty nester who just wants to get back to school. I miss the kids, I miss my friends, I miss the routine and the fun of being with a bunch of 10-12 year olds.</p>
<p>Anybody else glad they have thawed?</p>
<p>Yes, I agree. Son and I were stuck at home for two days last week. One day was fine. The second day even son was bored.</p>
<p>When I was a junior in HS, we had a snow day and school was cancelled. I had two classmates taking CCD (Catholic Education) after school and it wasn’t cancelled. While driving there the car slid on the ice and one was killed and the other brain damaged. Especially since I got my driver’s license a week or two later, I have always been mindful of being safe and not driving in bad weather unnecessarily.</p>
<p>That said, I couldn’t wait to get back to work after two days stuck at home last week!</p>
