<p>I know that NU doesn’t care as much about writing than most of the other colleges, but will that 470 in writing really kill me? I don’t know what happened on that day because normally I get 600 on the writing, but even that is pathetic compared to how good everyone else that applies here.</p>
<p>So how much will my pathetic writing score hurt me?</p>
<p>The impression I got was that they consider the writing scores in terms of consistency with your essay. They, I imagine, are looking for people who get someone else to write their essays for them. How are your English grades in high school?</p>
<p>colleges really don’t care much, if at all, about the PSAT, bump it up on the SAT’s and you’ll be fine. the PSAT writing section is really different from the actually SAT writing section anyway.</p>
