Hii, i took the sats twice. The first time i got a 1450 and the second time i got a 1500. I went to a private tutor and he said i should skip 5 questions per section. Do you have any other tips ? :))

Yeah, don’t skip 5 questions per section. Learn the test. I truly believe anyone can get 2000+ if they put their mind to it. Get the blue book and start studying.

How many should i skip?

Yeah, I don’t know what kind of tutor you had but I wouldn’t skip that many. Only skip if you just absolutely don’t know he answer. Even if you can narrow your answer choices down to two possibilities, I would take an educated guess. What was the individual breakdown for your SAT score?

Actually, don’t omit any questions. Since your raw score is rounded to the nearest whole number and .50 rounds up, you can miss two questions.

Just a heads up, don’t skip any free response math questions, they’re free.

I only skip the hard ones like the high 16’s. my breakdown was 460 CR/490 Math/560 Writing

Yeah, I need help improving overall. I can answer all the easy Math ones. Medium are so-so, and I can do some of the hard. I usually get anywhere from a 560-600, do you guys know of any books to get 600+. I already have the bluebook so tell me something else. Also for writing, I have trouble with a lot of stuff except the essay. CR is my lowest, idk what to do for that.

Do you guys know any books besides blue book to improve each section individually?

I’m basically in the same situation as you :D

Try barrons 2400, its designed for hard questions!

Actually it is not that hard… I first scored 1560 then at last I scored 2020 … Skipping questions depends on how sure are you about the questions … I didn’t skip if I could omit 2 answers and getting a strong inclination towards one choice . Number of skips totally depends on your perspective not another’s
