I got a warning email because of my mid year transcript, where my lowest grade was a B (I take all APs). I am scared because of the way it was phrased and it made it sound like my acceptance was in dAnger. I explained what my year has been like and that the Bs aren’t reflective of who I am as a student and that they will indeed reflect the grades of my final transcript from previous years but I am freaking out now and I feel sick and ashamed.
What do I do? It’s near impossible to get one of the grades past a B and it’ll be very difficult to get the other to a B+ (But I think I can get it)
What do I do?
Fellow admitted student here.
What was the exact wording of the letter? Was it just “checking in?” Or was it more like “you are in danger of recension”? What are your grades normally like?
Generally these letters are sent to elicit this reaction. I have friends who were sent letters and are now freaking out and pledging to get better grades. Usually, however, their grades have dropped to at highest a C+ average, so I will admit this is a bit puzzling…
I received a similar email in similar grade conditions- one or two B’s in AP courses. It didn’t seem like a very strong message, it was more just checking in and just making sure you don’t decline over the next few months. Just keep up with what you are doing and you should be fine.
