I applied to Penn and Cornell, and got into both after being told not to apply to either because I wouldn’t be accepted.

Eons ago, though…

Crapshoot = dice game = Craps as in a casino game where you roll dice.

Like, at some point, it is luck. Then you have to leverage your luck!
