A local university professor just called me for an alumni interview. I applied for both Harvard and Yale and got the interview calls. I know that it does not me an whole lot. But, based on my cancer research at NIH and being placed as a Siemens Semifinalist (should have been a Finalist), my application is noticed by several universities. I feel good about it. Hard work pays off.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, since I’m also a senior, but I thought all schools - including HYP - evaluate all of the applications sent in before the deadline?

You sound like you have some impressive accomplishments. Good job. However, Yale tries to offer interviews to all applicants possible, and has nothing to do with the applicant’s credentials (in 99% of cases).

What is the purpose of this thread?

^
My thoughts as well.

Local professor as in for Harvard/Yale? I’m not sure whether you’re insinuating you got a second you got a double interview or something.
I’m glad that you’re happy with your high school career though :).

lol… you’re funny kid.

Thirded .

Fourthed. (If that can be accepted as a word.)

I’m also confused…I got my Harvard and Yale (SCEA) interviews almost right after I submitted, as well. I wouldn’t consider myself extraordinarily accomplished…I think those schools are just good in terms of interview offering.

I believe this is in order:
