i got into CAS..

how easy is it to transfer into Stern from there?

and

i’m an international student (0 aid), is the education at Stern worth the cost over McGill or Toronto?

i’m picking stern over Queens’ and toronto commerce. Yes it is better since its the second in the states for finance, and stern is one of the top 5 business schools in the states. But it also depends if u want to stay in the US after graduation, i want to. Also, its NYC, which is a bigger financial center than Montreal, even Toronto. I’m also a canadian. i’m going to stern with 0 fin aid too.

One of my roommates is a CAS Economics->Stern transfer. I imagine that it’s not the worst thing in the world to do.

If you JUST got into CAS, why are you already trying to transfer to Stern?

Why didn’t you just apply to Stern if you want to go there?

I’m willing to bet it’s because it’s easier to get into CAS.

Not necessarily. Show me a site with those stats.

By those standards, the GSP program would be even more competitive than Stern, which certainly isn’t true.

Yes, but you know what the deal with GSP is, so that’s a moot point.

actually, I didn’t aim for CAS to try and squeeze myself into Stern, as I sincerely hoped to study at CAS originally. But Stern was a strong contender at the time as well, and I wish to know the chances of transferring into Stern.

thanks for hte responses, keep them comin’

i heard it was impossible for the staff. i would not take the risk. and if you transfer you have to compete against all the applications i do not think you get an edge since you went to undergraduate in nyu
