I got Rejected, reapplying?

Hey CC,

I got Rejected, and I found that I can not longer apply to regular with my Common Application.

If I will create another Common Application, is it legal to apply Regular to Yale?

If you think this through you will realize that you cannot do this. Your school will not release another transcript to a school you have been rejected from, nor will your guidance counselor supply the needed documentation for your application,or your recommendations be sent once again. Your SAT scores or ACT have already been submitted once and SSN will not be change, so it is not possible. You should be focusing your energies on schools you are applying to now.

Right. Plus from your other posts you also applied to Harvard EA. Yale and Harvard have Single Choice EA – you can only apply to one of them early. If Harvard finds out what you did they will automatically change your deferral to a deny.

HC: You were deferred at Harvard SCEA, correct? You didn’t apply to Yale, right? Where were you rejected from?

If you only applied to Harvard, you are free to apply to any other school’s RD round, including Yale. There are no ramifications.

I don’t see why you can’t reuse your Common App, however. Maybe play around on that webite to discover your options. Good luck

You can create a revised version of the Common App.

T26E4 I changed my mind and I applied to Yale Early. My question was, as an international student could I do another account to apply again in regular? Of course only if it will be legal.

Frankly I don’t find that believable. It appears to me that you definitely applied to Harvard early, deferred SCEA.

If you applied SCEA to Yale and were rejected, it was karma since you violated their rules. You better hope Harvard doesn’t find out or they’ll reject you out-of hand too.

Go read what Yale says about rejected students’ desire to reapply.
