Yesterday I visited campus for the first time on the Explore Carolina program. I had to wake up at 5:30 in order to be on time at 8 with the two-hour drive. After going to a basketball game and doing homework, I didn’t go to bed until 12. It was probably one of the longest days of my life. So today there was an AIG meeting during my ap calculus bc class so i decided i would go home and take a nap because i was really tired. it was the last class of the day, and since pretty much everyone is aig in my calc class except me, i figured it would be a waste of time. my friend text me at 3pm and tells me she wrote me up. i didn’t see the message because i was dead asleep until i woke up an hour and half later. i thought he was kidding at first. i have never skipped her class and i have never been written up. turns out, the meeting was over with 30 minutes left in class. i’m still appalled she even did it. she wrote me a good recommendation to unc as the math department chair and i had her for math since sophomore year. i’m going to talk to her before school tomorrow.

My question is do write-ups show up on the transcript?

I think you’ll be okay, unless your teacher decides to rescind your letter of recommendation. My public high school doesn’t report minor infractions, only things that resulted in suspension.

I would not worry at all - I think you will be absolutely fine. When you send your end of the year grades, if there’s anything in your transcript about it (which I would seriously doubt) then you can just send a letter in with your transcript. From what I understand, admission is rescinded if the grades are really bad - even then they give you a chance to explain yourself. This write up sounds very minor - I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

yeah it was ridiculous. the assistant principal gave me one day iss today. i asked her and she said minor stuff like that won’t go on your transcript. it was actually a pretty productive day. i guess i just freaked out because i’ve never been in trouble like this before.
