bump :o
I’ll chance back, y’know.

to tell you the truth, you’re going to have it rough with those stats going in as a chem. engineer. i hope that you just sent in your ACT scores only. heres what i think.

UCLA - reach (rejected)
UCB - reach (rejected)
UCSD - reach (rejected)
UCi - low reach (more likely in the rejection area)
UCSB - low reach (ditto with UCI)
UCD - low reach (ditto with UCI)
UCR - match
JHU - Rejected
CSUN - Accepted
CSULA -match (probably in)
CSUF -match (friend had way worse stats and has been accepted; in)
CSULB - match (probably in)

good luck.

Man, I guess I should have applied as undecided under life sciences or something :[

Oh, my alternate major is Biochemistry/Chemistry if that helps! :o There’s no edit button on my previous post. Sorry for double post :[

-bump-
Please chance, I’ll chance back :[

should’ve gone undecided. i went through your grades and i saw a bunch of As but i saw the GPA and some selective Ds and Cs. The SAT score isn’t too great, and the GPA hurts.

UCLA - reach (rejected)
UCB - reach (rejected)
UCSD - reach (rejected)
UCi - possible. (if you’re in california, maybe.)
UCSB - ^
UCD - ^
UCR - match
JHU - out
CSUN - Accepted
CSULA -match
CSUF -match
CSULB - match

Does the alternate major matter?
I do live in California also :]
I guess it seems like I have like a 0% chance to get into any of the top 3. :o

uh…ur sats r gonna kill u for any of the UCs. absolutely kill you. the fact that u took them like 3 times and show no improvement doesnt help. getting 790 on chinese is useless since ur chinese to begin with.

i’m chinese too and i could easily pull a 800 in chinese but what does that show to the admissions ppl besides that I’m not willing to put in work to learn something new?

It’ll be difficult to get into the privates on your list.

You’ll probably get rejected by UCLA and UCB as well. Since you’re applying for chemistry/biochem - you’ll definitely get rejected by UCSD - which is nationally ranked for biomed/chemistry.

But you’ve got great chances at the California State Universities. I also think you’ll do fine at Riverside and Davis. Irvine is a toss up - but you’ve already gotten in there.

Congratulations on all your acceptances. I’d advise you to go with UCSD. Their program for the field you want to pursue is phenomenal.
