<p>Naviance was useless for Happykid as her major was un-searchable in the system.</p>
<p>The biggest problem with Naviance is that athletic recruits and URMs are not coded.<br>
I guess you couldn’t do that without compromising student privacy, but it makes me crazy to explain again and again to non-athlete, non-URM students that they need to understand that some of the statistical outliers are not due to luck or a great essay.</p>
<p>its kinda useless since 1) its only based on test scores/GPA and 2) most of the colleges have so few acceptances/applicants that the data is blocked for privacy reasons…so i cant see anything. </p>
<p>and also naviance complicates things because one of my teachers does not teach at my school so he cant access naviance…so i would have to give him stamped addressed envelopes or something…■■■</p>
<p>our school just switched to it and all the teachers have no idea what to do for rec letters.</p>
