I hate to ask for help with this..

But I have searched and searched and searched…

I am looking for colored lab safety goggles (not glasses, because I need something that will fit over glasses). Specifically purple, pink, or lime.

And I have found a couple sites, but they are cheaply made.

Any clue how to find decently made colored lab safety goggles?

Well if you get an answer to something like THAT here, I will be TRULY impressed ( not that it hasn’t happened before, and in just a few hours) !

Have you thought of buying clear glasses and coloring them with a translucent paint?

Amazon.com nets this:
[Amazon.com: colored safety goggles](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=colored+safety+goggles)

^places like Michaels will sell very cheap suncatcher paint. That way you can get better made goggles and color them yourself.

So, buy translucent paint and clear goggles…will that look alright?

Are we looking for fashion or a practical use?

Why not try it? Also check out the goggles on Amazon.com.

Would any of these work?

If you’re thinking of painting them and then using them for labs, please pay attention to the chemicals involved…

I wouldn’t recommend painting safety glasses. They are usually made of a plastic like polycarbonate that has very poor solvent resistance. Unless the paint is water based it could cause stress cracking which may cause the glasses to fail at some point in time. Buy the glasses already tinted. And you will find you may not get the paint to stick to the glasses anyway.

They come in red green and blue

I love this place! You can ask anything and get an answer.
I don’t need colored safety glasses, but they do look cool.
