I have a list of questions for my professor for her office hours. Help?

<p>When I go in there, should I have the list with me or no? I feel weird just looking off the list and reading questions to her.</p>

<p>So like, should I try to memorize questions?
Is looking at the list a bad thing to do, honestly?</p>

<p>And no. I’ve never asked this before because I’ve never had more than a couple of questions to ask a professor, but now I do. </p>

<p>What should I do?</p>

<p>No its not bad! Thats what office hours are for. Having a list of questions shows you’re really trying. I’m sure your professor will like you even more now since she’ll see you’re committed. Seriously. :slight_smile: </p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. Bring the list and ask your questions. Your professor won’t care.</p>

<p>Yes, take the list! Be sure to LOOK at it, too! I have a habit of bringing lists and then not looking at them carefully. When I get home, I realize I’ve forgotten one or more things.</p>

<p>Before you go in, double check that the answers to your questions aren’t readily available on the course syllabus or other handouts. </p>

<p>Having taught at a university, I always appreciated when students had their questions written out. </p>

<p>I am a college professor. If a student came to me with list of questions on a piece of paper, it would not change my attitude toward the student at all, and it would have no effect on the student’s grade. On the contrary, I get very annoyed by students who visit me with no preparation.</p>

<p>A list of questions indicates that you have read the chapter/attempted the homework. The Professor wants to help you but needs something to focus on. Don’t be nervous…the whole point of office hours is for you to get a chance to ask those questions!</p>

<p>Totally bring the list!! Also, WRITE down the answers as well! Most of my professors always thought I was such a good and prepared student whenever I came in with lists. Like the others said, it shows that you care, which will then make the professor care. </p>
