BE BRUTALLY HONEST!
Thanks :]

Your SATs, GPA, and being Asian are not going to help in Cali.

maybe Arizona State or Western Oregon University.

Normally i’d say u have a low chance (but still a chance) at most of those lower UC’s, but this part to me (and an adcom) would be a red flag;

SAT II: Math 2: 490 US: 390

looking @ my Blue Book scale, a 490 = u answered about 8 questions, and a 390 on US history is having answered about 4 questions, so to an adcom that would show a lack of preperation for upcoming events in general, which would be a major red flag.

sorry for the ‘brutality’ so to speak, i think u might have a chance at Caly poly but im not very sure. Your low-income status might help u, since u wouldnt have had the money to pay for testprep courses which would have raised u to the normal level of applicants.

I thought the UCs and state schools removed affirmative action? So being Asian should not matter at UCs and state schools. That’s why many UCs are 40-50% Asian who are admitted based on academic merit (maybe some are athletes).

Look at UC Merced and SJSU.

And the other 8 UC REJECTION letters and Cal Poly SLO REJECTION letter.

Of couse, apply whereever you want.

Your SAT scores are really low and your SAT II scores are reeeeally bad. Your GPA isn’t high for being weighted. Your clubs are good, but that’s about all that’s good.

I think SJSU is the only one you have a shot at.

Well, he’s vietnamese, which is URM. Are you first-generation college?

yes i’m first generation college

don’t feel discouraged. you have a slight chance of getting into any of those colleges. your best bet would probably be with riverside and merced.

brutally honest tho, every other uc is prolly gonna turn you down. but if you still get into riverside or merced, be proud!

i guess i got no chance for UCI?

uci might be a stretch; just hope for ucr or ucm and then try to transfer to uci after some solid college work.
