I have no friends

I have no friends. The semester almost over and what was supposed to be an amazing year turn out to be the worst year of my life. I’ve tried to make friends, but no one will talk to me. There have even been days where no one even said one word to me. I don’t know what to do. How am I supposed to make friends when no one want to be friends with me.

join a club, get a job, … do things that mandate interaction. that way people will have to interact with you and you might meet a friend. maybe join a study group for a hard class like org chem. and I guess be confident. that will help you since your expression will be better. good luck

Hang in there! Know that finding friends requires persistence. Persistence can take many forms but may involve joining a club that interests you - to find others with similar passions; being consistent in participating in an activity or a hobby - so others will see your interests and skills; reaching out to others - take the initiative to say hi, smile and ask how you can help them or get involved in a service oriented club as everyone needs a helping hand from time to time. Remember times when you’ve had friends - even if you’ve never had a lot of friends - a few is just fine - think about what you enjoyed doing together. Perhaps the holiday season is a good time to send a note, a text or a tweet and just say hi to those you appreciated in past years. Reach out to your family, good friends from the past or your local clergyman. I hope that these people are close enough to you to encourage you in what may well be a discouraging time, to pray for you and to certainly remind you of the skills, attributes and blessings you bring into their lives just by being you. Hang in there! I believe God often provides when we least expect it.

Is there any club or some kind of activity that you are interested in? Maybe you should try to start a conversation instead of just waiting for someone to talk to you  I am a really shy person, and when I first came to the United States, I also struggled a lot with making friends because of language barrier and whole culture difference things.
I think it is important for you to maybe reach out to people first and get involved in campus. I am still not in college yet, but I hope this helped at least a little.

The best thing for my daughter was her volunteering. She met like-minded people and was extremely busy.
