I have questions!!! Here are my stats.

First of all, I don’t really like the idea of Chance Mes, because they don’t really provide an accurate answer of if I will get into a certain college or not. HOWEVER, I would like to use this discussion to ask what I perceive to be very important questions.

A little bit about myself:

I am aiming for universities like the Ivies, MIT, UCB, or UCLA. I would like to study either medicine, Bioengineering, or computer science (Yes, I know, I’m a little wishy-washy).

I am an Asian male. I go to an unranked big public high school.

Here are my questions:

MY QUESTIONS ARE: Do you know anyone who has gotten into great schools similar to the ones I listed above? How does my stats compare with theirs? Do you think I am missing something? Thank you.

I know many people who have gone to Princeton, Cornell and MIT for computer science. From what I know, their standardized test scores were much higher. First off, I recommend that you take the ACT. From what I understand based on your stats, you would do much better on the ACT. Next, a 700 on Math 2 is simply too low for an Ivy or MIT. An 800 is the 79th percentile and a 700 is close to the 50th percentile. Your ECs look good. As for engineering in general you probably want to bring up your chemistry score as well. Since you got a 4 on the AP test, try taking a different test. Personally I found the physics test much easier. Good luck!
