I heard Accounting use basic math like + / * - , what about Finance?

Just wondering, because I look around, and theirs always more answers about Accounting than Finance. Just seeing which one I want to major in. Also, I like basic math as you can tell.

Yes finance using basic math, at least in the sense of typing numbers into a column in excel, scrolling the bottom and hitting alt-e.

With the exception of certain trading desks, you won’t actually do any of the math in your head though if that’s what you’re asking.
Also, depending on the area, the math in finance can get a whole lot more complex (i.e. continuous semi-martingales, SDEs, Lebesgue, Stratonovich and ito integrals, …)

I looked at examples of both, and Finance math looked way more difficult. Complex like you said. The king of stuff I hate doing, but can do. Unlike people saying Finance is easier, Accounting actually looks easier(to me)

You can’t generalize like that.
If you’re going for whichever one has the easiest coursework, so long as you pick your classes carefully, the answer will most likely be finance.

Most areas of finance do not include math beyond anything basic. The areas that do are generally not included in most undergraduate programs.

The math is not what makes accounting hard. Your comparison of major difficulty and the level of math required is flawed.

That’s exactly why I’m finding answers.
