son is really interested in attending Syracuse, but we live in CA. My son really likes CA, but wants to have the experience of living in a different state and really likes Syracuse. So I wonder if he gets accepted to syracuse, would it be easy for him to find a job in CA ater graduation?

I have been wondering the same thing, since I too am interested in attending Rice some day. I think that Barch programs have alumni all over the US and internationally and probably have partner ships with diffrent firms all over, but I’m really not sure.

While some architecture programs are, indeed, primarily regional, there are many which are nationally-known and respected, with strong alumni networks spread across the country. Syracuse and Rice are among the nationally-known BArch ones, as are Cornell, Virginia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Cal Poly, Cooper, Penn State and many others.

archmom, thanks a lot for the clarification.

name of the school certainly helps with the connection base but creating stellar work and having a great skill set will really open doors for you.
