<p>is a nerd school with very strict RSO’s in comparison to other UC’s…</p>

<p>and extremely excluded with not much to do unless you really know the area.</p>

<p>I’ve never had an opportunity to visit the campus…</p>

<p>My friends visited the campus and hadn’t heard about the stereotype, yet came back saying how boring and nerdy it was. </p>

<p>But then of course you’re gonna get responses saying how wonderful it is.</p>

<p>Well, I can say that it’s not extremely excluded… I don’t know, depending on what you mean by “things to do”, because there’s a giant plaza of stuff that’s within walking distance of campus (maybe a 20 minute walk from Gilman Parking Structure) with a Ralph’s, a BJ’s, a California Pizza Kitchen, a Trader Joe’s, a Chipotle… etc. And even though there isn’t a frat row, I think there are still houses that are relatively close by?</p>

<p>Oh, and the beach is pretty conveniently located.</p>

<p>I just visited UCSD and it was not like that at all. It’s not excluded…downtown La Jolla is really close by, Del Mar is pretty close as well…there seems like there are a lot of things to do if you have people to hang out with. There are lots of beautiful beaches around…and everything in San Diego is pretty close by, it doesn’t take long to get to downtown SD if you drive.</p>

<p>And yes, I agree. There are lots of things to do around San Diego</p>

<p>it is a little secluded, i can definitely agree with that…if u don’t make the effort you’ll be stuck on campus a lot. that isn’t too bad though. it also depends on what u think is fun. i don’t have too much a problem w/ the school cept for the lack of D-1 sports teams.</p>

<p>the RSOs are pretty bad, from what my friends have said a couple people got kicked out from dorms…probably for alcohol? i don’t know.</p>
