i attend at a competitive school…it is one of the best in the nation…
i dont have an outstandinggg average…but i have taken all honors/ap math classes and i have taken many aps and one post-ap class…others have higher gpas but much less challenging selections of courses
hopefully, colleges really take this in account…it is often said that test scores arent much and that your gpa is the #1 thing they use…
i ED-ed at an ivy league college so many of the applicants probably have high gpas…
my course selections throughout highschool will reallllly be taken into account? right?

anyone? thanks in advance!

yes, your course selections would definitely be taken into account. If you have 8 APs and a 3.4 unweighted GPA, vs. no APs and a 3.7 GPA, in my opinion it is better to have the 8 APs. Unfortunately, the weights they use to compare the two is subjective so you never will know exactly how much they consider it.

I realize that it is little consolation that top schools expect you to have not only a 3.7+ unweighted GPA, but also 8 APs.
