I indicated that I wanted to send free MME scores. Can I reverse this?

As a high school junior in Michigan, my classmates and I took the ACT, WorkKeys, and MME exams in March. I scored a 32 on a practice test administered in the Fall of 2009, so I decided to take advantage of the free score reports sent by ACT to colleges. However, I feel that I may not have done as well on the real thing. I indicated that I wanted to send my scores to four competitive colleges, all of which are among my top choices. I haven’t received my scores yet, and I don’t expect to for at least two more weeks, but I doubt that they will be as high as the practice test’s scores.

Does ACT send the free score reports to the schools/scholarships you indicated at the same time as when you first receive them, or do they do so when you apply? To avoid the potential harm of sending a bad score, can I request that they withhold scores? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am pretty sure you would have to call in and cancel your scores, but don’t worry I took the same test, my second ACT, and it was loads harder than my first one(December 09). So thus the curve will probably be a bit nicer if you got some wrong.

run2flyfree: Alright, thanks. I’ll look into that ASAP.
