I just don't know how we will manage ......

Went to a meeting at my retired husband’s old company to find out about, among other things, their new retirement medical system. 2 things really worry me

The medicare prescription D plan (that he now has to join) does not pay for fertility drugs.

The hazardous household waste collection day they have scheduled will not accept radio active waste.

Gee - I just don’t know how we will manage - my dream of another baby in in retirement *and *the ability to dispose of all the radioactive waste lying around my house - all shot down in one morning.

It reminds me of those drug commercials. Especially the one for symptoms of menopause that say “do not take if you’re pregnant.”

oh, swimcatsmom you are a trickster. I was fully expecting some dire news when I read the words retired and medical in the same sentence.

Well the medicare D prescription plan *might *be dire as my husband is on a lot of prescriptions - we have not quite figured out if the plan D “donut hole” will cost us more than the $2000 we already pay in copays. :frowning: . His company is still going to subsidize a medical plan but not prescriptions any more.

Hmm…do you have a light on your vacuum cleaner? If so, that should make the other “situations” bearable. And if you have a light on your snowblower…you will be doubly blessed.

rrah: It reminds me of those drug commercials. Especially the one for symptoms of menopause that say “do not take if you’re pregnant.”

Hey, my mom thought I was a symptom of menopause. Maybe should of known better as I was not the first child, but since my sisters were 16 1/2 and 15, it was probably wishful thinking on her part: menopause vs. mid-life pregnancy, back in the days when it was somewhat less accepted. My older sisters were soooo embarrassed. :)
