I’m not going to discuss any questions, so don’t bother reading on if that’s what you’re looking for. No, I’m not scared of electrocution; I just don’t like you.

This was one of the weirdest tests I have ever given.

So first, I arrived at the American Embassy for the exam. (They have a school there) It took me about 20 minutes to get in. They checked my passport first, and then me with a metal detector … after which, they opened my bag. They took about 2-3 minutes on my calculator. Apparently, they had never seen a CASIO CFX before; everyone must get TIs, I guess. Oh, and a few peeps got sent back because their passports had expired. So don’t forget to take VALID identification with you!

At 8:15, I entered the room. The proctor was stupid. Not only did she check our passport and photo EVERY time we took a loo break, she collected cell-phones and WRAPPED them up in newspapers to ensure they wouldn’t ring…

On to the test.

So yeah, the essay was OK. I would have scored a 5 (or maybe even 6) … except that I was on the second-to-last sentence when the time finished. Now sure, I would have scribbled some crap anyway, but the proctor was right next to me and she literally SNATCHED my pencil.

Next, the first Math section. I always manage to finish the math section at least 5 minutes before time. Not this time, though. I don’t really know what came over me, but as soon as the proctor said “10 minutes remaining” … I panicked and screwed up ALL last four questions. They were pretty easy, but I still couldn’t get the right answer.

Ironically, I finished all the other sections (CR, WR, AND remaining Math) 5-10 minutes before time. :/

The vocabulary was, in my opinion, much easier than the BB tests. There wasn’t a word I didn’t know - which was a first.

Writing was also simple. The sentence corrections were obvious, and the error identification too easy. Even the essay/paragraph draft was short.

Overall, the SAT was much better than I’d hoped. I could’ve achieved 2350+, but due to my own recklessness (or whatever it was), I’ll be getting something in the 2200s.

On the bright side, however, the CR and WR sections went extremely well. So if the colleges I apply to look at my scores INDIVIDUALLY, they’ll see 750+ in both of them. That, coupled with the fact that I have 770 in Math IIC, should make up for my mistakes in the Math section. Right?
