Congratulations Stupefy! In a year with so little good news about waitlists, yours is a feel good story. Will you be attending Penn?

^Thanks! I think it had to do with me living so close to penn, and everyone in my districting declining penn’s offers lol

and idk I have to think about it! I really did love georgetown. but it’s wharton…

While both are great schools, I really don’t think Wharton can be beat if your interest is really in business.

Think of it this way - maybe your parents will do your laundry.

Congratulations! Hope to see you here!

I’m soooo happy for you! Definitely long overdue and well-deserved. :)

Absolutely fantastic! Your getting accepted off the waitlist made my day Stupefy! You deserve this so much. I really hope to see you next year at WHARTON!

thank you so much guys! I’ll let you know what I decide

I’m leaning toward wharton, but I will sit on it a while more :)

Congratulations Stupefy!

You know, I saw some of your posts on the Georgetown board, and we’ve had an eerily similar track record - deferred from Yale EA, with a final choice between Wharton and SFS. Like you, I really fell in love with Georgetown after visiting, and I’m still not 100% sure that Wharton is best for me (but there’s no turning back now for me).

Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong!

Omg congrats! Did you just get the email today?

I hope more spots are open!!!

Congratulations! How many people have you stunned with your excitement today?

@Swaggerer- yup, about 4pm today :)

@geekorathletic- Thanks! And um idk? lol I can’t tell if that’s sarcastic or not…

I’m just amazed that Furda called you “Stupefy.”

Congrats Stupefy, good luck in ur studies~!

haha yes he knows my CC username ;)

stupefy! i just got off the wharton waitlist too! I’m in a sort of similar, but then again not so similar dilemma. I got waitlisted at MIT and Wharton, not expecting to get into either of them so i stayed on both…but then got accepted to both haha, life’s weird right? I am not for sure set on a business track, although I’m really interested in economics (which I guess is a little different), but also have been pretty into science for most of my life. Would you say Wharton is more for people that are definitely set on business and finance?

^I don’t know, that’s a question I was asking myself. I like business, politics, AND law so I’m definitely not certain I will do hardcore finance, like i-banking. I will probably do the business and public policy major and take up the second concentration in legal studies and business ethics :)

so to answer your question, I think wharton is broader than just finance, even though that’s what it’s known for

^ There definitely is MUCH more to Wharton than just finance. It has the largest, most published, and most cited business school faculty in the world. And if you look at, e.g., the US News ranking of MBA programs by business specialties, you’ll see that Wharton is at or near the top in the vast majority of the fields:

[Best Business Schools - Graduate Schools - Education - US News and World Report](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-business-schools)

Plus, in addition to Wharton courses, Penn offers the advantage of being able to take courses not only from its many highly-ranked liberal arts departments, but also from its eminent grad and professional schools (e.g., Annenberg School for Communication, Law School, School of Design, School of Social Policy and Practice, Graduate School of Education, etc.). That breadth and depth of curriculum will NOT be available to you at either MIT or Georgetown.

Congratulations so much to Stupefy and thebaker!
It’s good to hear that the Wharton waitlist has moved. I wonder if the same has happened in CAS… Hmm~~

Anyway, a huge congratulations to you both! :D

I got off the Wharton waitlist as well!
Depends on financial aid though if I can attend
